Korean horror movies (death bell 1/2)yesterday I watched two korean horror films, death bell 1 고死: 피의 중간고사, and death bell 2 고사 두 번째 이야기: 교생실습. I watched the second movie first because the two movies dont share the same story line so you could watch either one first or just 1 of the 2. i ended up watching them on youtube the second had eng subs but trust me the first movie you cant find with eng subs, so I just watched it as is (since I speek korean).

my review on this movies out of 5 stars would be maybe 3.5? the reason why would be becauser it never really answered why the killing was truely happening until like the very end, and i mean like not a hint of a real reason it was just killing and they did mention a girl,ji won (played by T-ara's Eun jung) who had died and they had wondered if it was her ghost that was killing all the students in the class but in all seriousness there was never a paranormal state that played a big role in this (with the exception of a mentally unstable boy who just loses it and starts seeing her ghost in the main characters body?).

Plot
The film is set in a high school, where group of twenty students are taking a special class for their college entrance exam. After Kang I-na is nearly strangled and another student throttled in the restroom, the classroom TV screen switches to an image of top-ranking student Hye-yeong trapped inside a fish tank that is slowly filling with water. A disembodied voice announces that her life depends on the exam questions he will set for them, and that a student will die for every question the class gets wrong. Trapped with the students are head teacher Hwang Chan-wook and English teacher Choi So-yeong. I-na realizes that the students are being killed in order of their rank in the class, and she is ranked fifth. Someone is slowly killing the students one by one, but who are they? And what do they want? (most of that plot was from wiki because its kinda hard to explain :P)
The acting was good and was shot with good quality I still liked this movie even though I only gave it 3.5 out 5 so its still a good watch.

alright onto death bell 2 this link does have english subs.
again with my reviw out of 5 stars i would surprisingly give this 4.5. to me just about everything in the second horror flick was better the story line, acting, and even the effects. this is definitly one of my favourites.
unlike the first it does have a bit more of a haunting paranormal theme and it gives more reasoning behind the killing at the start to better understand the whole movie.

Plot
In South Korea, the high school student and swimmer Jeong Tae-yeon is found dead in the pool, which is found as a suicide. Two years later, teacher Park Eun-su joins the high school where Tae-yeon's stepsister Lee Se-hui is haunted by nightmarish visions and is bullied by the student Eom Ji-yun . Eun-su finds it difficult to get respect in the classroom and is backed up by an older teacher, Cha. Se-hui and her classmates are selected for an elite "study camp" held at the school during the summer break where 30 students study for their university entrance exams. The school's swimming trainer is murdered in the showers, and the words "When an innocent mother is killed, what son would not avenge her death?" found scrawled on a blackboard. A voice warns the students that they'll all be killed unless they can answer who is the murderer and why. The students and teachers find they're locked in the school when more deaths begin to happen.( again thank you wiki :P)
so these two movies are both good for the genre of horror/ thriller and btw
to anyone who actually reads this (hello~!!) a new horror thriller white : melody of death just recently came out and i want to see it soooooo badly it has T-ara's Eun jung in it ( also in death bell 1) and it looks very interesting about a kpop band that remakes an unknown cursed song chevk out the trailer :) and thank you for the read ^^ hope you enjoyed leave a comment :)
